(USA) - Honorary Vice President of IBSSA for American continent, who is
pushing a big IBSSA event in the USA and also proposed to organise an IBSSA
Congress - possibly the 11th Congress of IBSSA in 2006 - or other events either
in Las Vegas or in Florida.
The
IBSSA leaders agreed that during the INEOA International Drug Conference
between 17 & 22 October 2004 an OPEN IBSSA Board Meeting would take place

at the 4th WKC European Championships between 4 - 6 June 2004 in Caorle /
Italy. Prof. Dr. Popper was invited by Dr. Fritz Wendland
(Germany) - President of WKC as honorary guest of the championships. The European
Championships was a great success; good fights with high level and professional
organisation and with a great many of participants. Our congratulations for the
great results and success to WKC President - Dr. Fritz Wendland, who is
Honorary Founding Member of IBSSA, and also to Mr. Carlo Henke; and our
compliments to Prof. Giacomo Spartaco Bertoletti and Dr. Daniele Lazzarini
- Honorary Members of IBSSA - for the professional organisation of this event.
The
following topics were discussed and important decis ions were taken by the
IBSSA leadership:
- IBSSA International Sport
Federation (ISF) is more and more active and developing by leaps and
bounds. There is an easy registration procedure with low fees and the
members will receive IBSSA-ISF diploma and ID-card. IBSSA-ISF has numerous
cooperation agreements with large sport federations, such as WKC, WJJKO,
IBA, etc., and now ISF has its own professional staff with the leadership
of Prof. Giacomo S. Bertoletti (Italy), who is also the leader of the Martial Arts
Alliance.
- Dr. Eriks Grinsbergs (Latvia) signified that the IBSSA
Latvian Team intends to organise again the next World Martial Arts
Festival (WMAF) in Riga / Latvia. The IBSSA leaders accepted and supported
this proposal and appointed Dr. Rony Kluger (Israel) as responsible person
of the Festival, who helps the Latvian Organising Committee. The leaders
agreed to organise the Festival in November 2005 as several other events take
place this winter and time is too short to organise a professional event.
- The leadership of Education and
Qualification Department of IBSSA has changed and active members,
professionals -such as Mr. Eddie Stone (England) (former S.A.S. sergeant, expert) -
joined the department in order to contribute to its development and efficient
work.
The

a professional and family team. All members have to be loyal and should have
the ability to work together, help and support each other. Prof. Dr. George Popper
expressed his thanks to the present leaders for their active work and
officially closed the meeting.
